I onboarded an LLM like a junior designer
Gave it our design principles, three example critiques, and the Slack channel for snacks. Surprisingly productive.
Treat it like a person you've just hired
The single biggest jump in output came from writing an onboarding doc for the LLM. Same doc I'd write for a new hire: principles, norms, examples, what 'good' looks like, who to ask.
What transferred
Everything I'd tell a junior designer to read. Three real critique transcripts. A list of phrases we don't use. It cut prompt-tinkering time by about 80%.
